Custom Foods Office Addition & Remodeling
Custom Foods Knoxville TN – This commercial architecture office addition intent was to provide a dynamic, attractive front office for a food processing plant with exhibition kitchens and food labs used for marketing to a national clientele.
The two-story addition connects with the existing offices to present a unified look and an appealing face for the large industrial facility. The challenges of this design were to provide a new and appealing public face to an existing industrial facility while solving problems of vehicle access and setback issues on a very restrictive site.
The new construction was a two-story steel frame with stressed-skin wall panels, the exterior finishes was fiber-cement stone panels with brick matching the existing building. Ceramic tiles were used to highlight the central entry rotunda form exterior. The same stone panels were carried inside and contrasted with wood wall systems, special ceilings, and butt-glazed walls that gave vision to the high-tech kitchen and labs from the conference/sales room and offices.
